Happy Valley brought the curtain down on the 2024/25 season in spectacular fashion on 16 July, with a night of thrilling racing, fan-focused festivities and unforgettable moments under the lights. Racegoers packed the Beer Garden and trackside stands to soak up the electric atmosphere, enjoying live entertainment, giveaways and awards ceremonies. On the track, Matthew Poon delivered a career-defining performance to claim his first Tony Cruz Award as Hong Kong’s leading homegrown jockey, edging out Derek Leung in a dramatic finish. The night was a fitting finale to a season filled with passion, competition and community spirit.
