Typhoon Signal No.8 Arrangement (issued Tuesday, 23 September)
23 Sep 2025
The Hong Kong Observatory has announced Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 will be in force at 2:20pm on Tuesday, 23 September.
Members are kindly reminded that our Clubhouse facilities, Happy Valley Racecourse Non-Raceday restaurants and Jockey Club Headquarters Car Park will remain closed while Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 is in force. All facilities and the Car Park will reopen within 2 hours after the signal is lowered and no “extreme condition” is announced.
All facilities will remain closed for the day if the Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 or “extreme condition” remains in force by 5:00pm.
However, in light of the approaching Super Typhoon Ragasa and the latest forecasts, we anticipate extreme weather conditions, which may result in additional delays in resuming normal operations at some venues. We warmly remind our Members to stay safe and take necessary precautions during this adverse weather.
The safety of our Members, guests and colleagues is of paramount importance to the Club and we kindly ask for our Members' understanding and support.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.
