Traffic Arrangements and Pedestrian Crossing Management on Sha Tin Racedays (Issued Thursday, 9 October)

9 Oct 2025

Direct Route to Grandstand Car Park (P3) of Sha Tin Racecourse

In anticipation of heavy traffic in Sha Tin Racecourse on racedays, Members parking in the Grandstand Car Park (P3) are encouraged to use the ‘Penfold Park’ entrances via Tolo Highway to access the racecourse. These routes are more direct, with a time saving of 5 to 15 minutes during the peak arrival period:
  • Members driving from Hong Kong / Kowloon / New Territories West are encouraged to use Exit 12C (signed as ‘Penfold Park’) on the Northbound carriageway of Tolo Highway.
  • Members driving from Tai Po / New Territories North are encouraged to use Exit 2C (signed as ‘Penfold Park’) on the Southbound carriageway of Tolo Highway.
For a detailed illustration of the driving routes, please click <here>.  Pedestrian Crossing Arrangement to Sha Tin Clubhouse

With the opening of new Members Main Entrance (“MME”) at Sha Tin Racecourse on 12 October, the pedestrian passage between the Paddock and Sha Tin Clubhouse (“STCH”) via MME will be reopened, replacing the current alternative pedestrian route along the Multi-Level Carpark (“MLCP”).

The pedestrian crossing between STCH and MLCP will be closed during arrival and departure peak periods on all racedays at Sha Tin Racecourse. Members and guests can use the connecting footbridge during these closure periods. For your safety, please follow instructions from on-site staff and use designated crossing facilities. You may also reach our Customer Service assistants for assistance.
