From September onwards, the HKJC Beijing Clubhouse invites you to experience the Cultural Tour of the Orient’s Rhyme, a curated cultural series offering exclusive access to Beijing’s most coveted heritage treasures. Each session has a different theme, featuring expert-led lectures, immersive museum tours – from porcelain artistry to court paintings and craftsmanship of imperial kilns – and bespoke culinary experiences across a meticulously planned two-night itinerary. With luxurious suite accommodation at Beijing Clubhouse, a bespoke itinerary and authentic cuisine, this is a rare opportunity to explore Beijing’s cultural heartbeat in style with family and friends.

Not yet convinced? Here are four compelling reasons to say yes to this unforgettable cultural sojourn.
1. Discover Intangible Heritage
Begin your journey with captivating talks on aesthetics, imperial paintings and the craftsmanship of imperial porcelain. Meet master artisans who bring centuries of traditions to life, and gain valuable insight into the philosophies of beauty and form. Topics include:

  • No Home without Porcelain; Vessels with Rhyme – Appreciation of Ceramic Display
  • Splendours of the Forbidden City – The Origin of Court Painting
  • Exploring Ancient Chinese Ceramics – Imperial Kiln Knowledge Seminar
  • Royal Families and Porcelain in Successive Dynasties
2. Enjoy Exclusive Experiences
Day two offers a guided deep dive into the Palace Museum, where architecture and artefacts come alive through expert storytelling. Wander through vermilion walls and golden roofs, make your way up to the pavilion in Jingshan Park for panoramic views of the city, and feel the pulse of history beneath your feet.
3. Journey Through 5,000 Years of Civilisation
On day three, explore the National Museum of China’s “Ancient China” exhibition with an expert curator. Each relic reveals a chapter of the nation’s story – a fascinating tapestry of history, culture and craftsmanship.
4. Savour the Flavours of Old Beijing
Each day’s itinerary crescendos with different culinary experiences: an imperial feast in the National Museum’s Bingjiao restaurant; sunset tea atop Jingshan with the city stretching below towards the horizon; and the bubbling delight of traditional Beijing lamb hotpot. Discover the flavours of Beijing, where each meal is a multi-sensory journey through time.
